PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
For centuries, The Panama Hat has been a staple of warm-weather style, revered for its wide brim, flattering shape, and durable craftsmanship. (It’s also a bit of a misnomer ― the first Panama hats were made in Ecuador, but earned the moniker because they shipped out of Panama, and became especially popular after Teddy Roosevelt was photographed in one while visiting the Panama Canal.)
With its generous brim and a tall crown, The Naturalist provides ample comfort and refuge from the sun. At the interior, a cotton sweatband ensures you’ll stay cool and comfortable, while the grosgrain hat band with a Stetson pin adds sophistication. Crafted in the U.S.A. with Panama straw, it’s built to endure for many summers to come.

THE STETSON STANDARD
Since 1865
True Heritage
Our story begins in the 1860s, when John B. Stetson was prospecting for gold in the Colorado Rockies and, struck by a sudden rainstorm, quickly fashioned a felt hat for protection. The modern cowboy hat was born, and more than a century and a half later, John B.’s pioneering legacy and commitment to quality live on in everything we make.
